Community Strategic Plan Development: Have Your Say

Temora Shire Council is building our future, and we need your input!

The Community Strategic Plan (CSP) is a critical document that will guide the Shire’s direction, activities, and priorities over the next ten years. It reflects the aspirations of the entire Temora Shire community, combining the voices of residents, businesses, and community groups.

 

Why Your Input Matters

The CSP is a roadmap for the Shire, outlining goals that impact everyone. It is more than just a Council plan—it’s a community plan. Your participation ensures the CSP represents a shared vision for Temora Shire.

In September 2024, we conducted the MARKYT® Community Scorecard survey to gather feedback from residents. The results were overwhelmingly positive:

  • 97% of respondents rated Temora Shire as a positive place to live.
  • 93% of respondents rated Council as a positive governing organization.
  • Temora Shire outperformed the industry average by 13 points in overall performance and is among the highest-ranked councils regionally.

These results provide a foundation for the CSP but highlight areas for further improvement, such as healthcare access, road maintenance, and economic development.

 

Community Consultation Sessions

To shape the CSP, we’re inviting you to attend one of our upcoming community consultation sessions:

  • 6:00 PM, Tuesday, 18th February 2025
  • 9:30 AM, Wednesday, 19th February 2025

Both sessions will cover the same material, and you’re welcome to choose the time that works best for you. During the sessions, we’ll discuss key community priorities and gather your ideas for Temora’s future.
