Changed traffic conditions on Goldfields Way at Yiddah
Motorists are reminded of changed traffic conditions on Goldfields Way at Yiddah, approximately 11 kilometres north of Barmedman (Bland Shire), for construction work to be carried out. Temora Shire Council are delivering this work as a contractor to Transport for NSW.
Work are being carried out between 7am until 5pm on weekdays and between 8am until 1pm on Saturdays.
Road surface repairs for a 2.4 kilometre length of road due to existing ‘rough ride quality’, and drainage improvements between Clays Lane and Maitlands Lane commenced Monday 5 February. These works will provide a stronger and safer road for all road users.
Works are anticipated to continue through to the end of March prior to the Easter Holiday Period, weather permitting. Finishing works such as line marking, delineation and final works will conclude in April 2024.
Traffic control and a reduced speed limit of 40 km/h will be in place for the safety of workers and motorists.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, allow an extra five minutes travel time and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
Transport for NSW and Temora Shire Council thanks motorists for their patience during this time.
