TEMORA SHIRE COUNCIL EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST – OFFICIAL NAMING
Expressions of interest are being sought for the naming of the Bridge Sized Culvert structure completed on Mary Gilmore Way (1.65km east of Chellington Road) in 2021. In general terms, Council is seeking family names that have a long association with the area/or have made a significant contribution to the development of Temora Shire generally and the local area particularly. Names already in consideration based on historical records indicating land ownership adjacent to the road include:
• Bushells Road - (JA Bushell)
• Gregorys Bridge – (Arthur, Roy & George Gregory)
• Jasprizzas Bridge - (JEB Jasprizza) • Hoads Bridge – (LR Hoad)
• McRaes Bridge - (CJ McRae)
Bridge names that won’t be considered due to already being in use as road names within Temora Shire include Mortons, Haddrills and Heinrichs.
