Mary Gilmore Festival is Back
Published on 31 May 2021
After Covid shut the world of culture and arts down in 2020, the Ariah Park Mary Gilmore Festival will be resurrected this year from the 13th -17th October, 2021.
The program promises a great mix of country and folk music that the committee are sure will please the crowd.
"We have favourites Tom Maxwell and Roydon Donohue as our headline acts again this year," said music organiser Bruce Ryan.
"They will be supported by the talents of Owen Blundell, Bec Hance, The Hoffmans, John and Christine Smith and Stephen Cheney.
"Former Ariah Park resident Charley Hackett will also be making her country music debut at the Festival," he said.
Kicking off on Wednesday 13th October, the festival has a jam-packed schedule of live entertainment right through until Sunday 17th October.
"We have everything from 'walk-ups' to live concerts," said Mr Ryan.
"There will be food, entertainment, music, poetry, an historical tour and raffles. It's a community event that we love to share with visitors and locals alike."
The festival runs for five days but the pinnacle of the event will be held on Saturday 16th October. Audience members can expect a Poet's Breakfast followed by the country music program.
"Tom Maxwell will present a three hour show on the Friday night whilst Roydon Donohue will entertain crowds on Saturday night."
Tickets are sold for individual events at varying prices.
