Justice of the Peace

A Justice of the Peace (JP) can act as an independent and objective witness. Some of the roles a JP might act in include:

  • witness oaths and affidavits
  • take statutory declarations and affirmations
  • witness signatures
  • attest the execution of a document
  • certify a true copy of an original document

You can search the NSW Register for a JP within the Temora Shire.

Please keep in mind that changing circumstances due to covid, as well as normal work and life commitments, may mean a JP is not available at the time of your request. It is recommended you not down several JPs from the register to contact for services.

Temora Shire Council has several JPs on staff. Please ask at the front counter to acces their services.
