Council Pensioner Concession Rates Rebate

If you hold a current Pensioner Concession Card and are solely or jointly liable for the rates and charges of the property that is your principle place of residence, you are eligible for the Council Pensioner Concession Rates Rebate.

You can receive half of the General Rates up to $250, and half of the Sewerage charge up to $87.50, under the rebate scheme. A total of $337.50 is available in rebates every year.

If you started receiving a pension after the commencement of the rating year, you will be eligible for a part year Pension Rebate at the beginning of the next quarter. If you cease to qualify as a pensioner, your pension rebate will be abandoned at the end of the quarterly billing period in which you ceased your entitlement.

Council will need a copy of your pension card to process the application. A submission of a form does not automatically confirm your eligibility for this rebate.
