The primary function of Temora Shire Council's Strategic Planning system is to prepare plans and policies relating to the regulation of land use and development within Temora Shire. The primary planning instrument in the Shire is the Temora Local Environmental Plan, 1987 which is supported by seven (7) Development Control Plans (DCP's) which are: - DCP No. 1 - Rural Residential Development
- DCP No. 2 - Rural Residential Development
- DCP No. 3 - Restriction on Rural Residential Development
- DCP No. 4 - Development and Subdivision of Land Within Temora Shire
- DCP No. 5 - Exempt & Complying Development 1999
- DCP No. 6 - Restrictions to Development and Land Use Within Aerodrome Complex
- DCP No. 7 - Guidelines for the Erection of Advertising Structures on Rural Land
