Community Access to Council

The Council welcomes the public to its ordinary meetings which are held at 4 pm on the third Thursday of the month in the Council Chambers, 105 Loftus Street, Temora.
Commencing from February 2001, Council dedicate a section at the start of each meeting as a public forum. Stakeholders who wish to address Council must give notice in writing. This enables staff to research the issues to be raised. The issues raised should be concerned with Local Government issues or issues that Council may be concerned with.
The issues raised must not include:
- Personal matters concerning individuals
- Personal hardship of any resident or ratepayer
- Commercial information that if disclosed would confer a commercial advantage or commercial information of a confidential nature
- Information that would prejudice the maintenance of law
- Matters affecting the security of Council, Councillors, Council Staff or Property
- Be contrary to the public interest.
Speeches have a time limit imposed of 3 minutes or longer with the discretion of the Mayor.
