The main industries in Temora Shire are centered around Agriculture. Temora is in the heart of the grain growing area of southern NSW and is one of the largest wheat, canola other cereal and wool producers in the State.
There are a large number of agricultural support industries in existence including:
- Wool storage and brokerage
- Bulk wheat storage and brokerage
- Agricultural Equipment Suppliers
- Chemical and Fertiliser suppliers
- Transport Industry.
There are 10 transport companies operating which cater for light and heavy freight, stock and refrigerated goods.
Other important industries in Temora Shire Council include:
- Harness Racing Industry
- Aviation - Includes Australia's best Aviation Museum
- Retail sector - Woolworths Supermarket, Target Country
- Large range of retail stores.
